The game was memorable for an incident where Steve Howey accidentally knocked out referee Mick Jones. Steve caught him with his arm and was amazed at the outcome. "I didn't even think I had touched him and was pretty surprised to see him on the floor" said Steve, "I was taken aback when I heard he had been taken to hospital but fortunately he was quickley discharged after treatment.
