"I just can't say how I do it, can I? All I did was tee it up on my right foot and hit it over my shoulder with the same foot." RODNEY MARSH ON HIS GOAL

 FROM THE PRESS BOX

PAUL DOHERTY WRITING IN THE SUNDAY PEOPLE 29TH SEPTEMBER 1974 ... He scored a magical goal, a right foot overhead kick after Doyle headed on a Summerbee corner... He's probably the only player who could take a goal that way. Marsh's elation was tempered by his feelings for his old team-mates. "They're very well organised" he said. "But I was disappointed they didn't go forward as they used to." The goal came near the end, when Rangers were hoping that City's erratic attack was spent. Their own efforts were even more limited.
