KIDDO GRABS CITY'S GOAL

Derby controlled most of the game and took a well deserved 1-0 lead, but less than a quarter of an hour after Charlie George had put the Rams in front, against the run of play Peter Barnes and Ged Keegan both had attempts on goal blocked, but Brian Kidd did not fail with his shot, placing it into the right hand corner past the Derby custodian Middleton. for the next 15 minutes Derby were at sixes and sevens with goalkeeper John Middleton very jittery and City were unlucky not to take all the points as Mick Channon's free kick 'goal' was judged to be offside and disallowed.
