FROM THE PRESS BOX

PETER GARDNER WRITING IN THE MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS 2ND APRIL 1975 Tony Book today threatened Manchester City players that he is ready to become a "bully boss." His hard-line warning came after a gritty performance by the Blues in the 2-1 defeat at Derby last night. Said Book: "They showed me what they are capable of doing at the Baseball Ground. If they can do it in one game they must be capable of doing it in 35." ... We must carry on where we left off at Derby... There is nothing wrong with our tactics so far as I am concerned. Maybe we shall have to take a much tougher line with more bullying to get the best out of the players..."
