FROM THE COVENTRY EVENING TELEGRAPH 22ND MARCH 1975 It appears Coventry City are fated by dubious referee's decisions at Maine Road. Last season they lost 1-0 to a Rodney Marsh penalty after Francis Lee had 'dived' after a Dugdale tackle. Today Manchester were awarded a similar kick when Lloyd headed away quite cleanly from Royle. Tueart scored from the spot and it was enough to give Manchester both points. City can count themselves unlucky on a day when they defended for most of the game with distinction and style. ... Two players were booked, Craven for City and Summerbee for Manchester, but, on the whole, this was a game without incident and, at times, lacking excitement.
