FROM AN ARTICLE BY JOHN MADDOCKS PUBLISHED IN THE CITY PROGRAMME 21ST APRIL 1990
At last the horrendous run of 18 games without a win came to an end! Wolves were the victims, on their own Molineux turf too, as City made only one change from the team that had drawn with Villa, Futcher coming in for Booth.
The Blues continued to look an expensive, struggling outfit, but thankfully Wolves were far worse. And for once any luck going went our way, a commodity that had been in very short supply.
Palmer opened the Wolves gift shop when he tried to find Bradshaw with a terribly-judged backpass. Reeves intercepted and gave City the lead with his first sky blue goal. The lead lasted just 7 minutes. Eves sent over a free kick and Futcher carefully headed it past Corrigan to level the scores.
But it all ended happily when Carr handled whilst on the ground and Tueart whipped in the penalty.
