west brom home 1967 to 68 action

City will be happy to see the back of West Brom after the Baggies completed a Festive double over Mercer’s team who had been tipped as title contenders.
Missing the commanding presence of both Mike Doyle and Colin Bell, City played as individuals rather than the usual cohesive, free-flowing team they had been so far this season.
The only real effort of note from The Citizens was a first half effort from Stan Horne that hit the upright.
West Brom took the lead within 20 miutes with a spectacular volley from Krzywicki and the victory was sealed by Brown with just four minutes left to play.
