City beat bottom of the table Spurs at White Hart Lane with a display that could have seen the winning margin much higher.
The Blues first goal came seven minutes after the break, and man of the match, Colin Bell was the scorer, a strong run from ‘Nijinsky’ ended with him curling a great shot past Spurs’ custodian Jennings.
Peters equalised in the 57th minute and City were put under pressure as Tottenham went for the winner, however, with a minute to go Tommy Booth scored with a great header from a Mike Summerbee corner to take all the points for City.
