City’s assault on the title took a hit as rivals for the top spot, Leeds took both points at Elland Road in a game that The Blues could easily have taken something from the game based on their first half display.
They controlled the the first 45 minutes without causing to many efforts, thanks to the battling Leeds midfield duo of Bremner and Giles who were combatative throughout.
Colin Bell had City’s best chance with a shot that hit the bar.
After the interval Giles and Charlton scored and Leeds became favourites for the title.
