Elano seals victory from the penalty spot
As a spectacle this game was a rather dull affair, but the 6,000 City fans didn’t seem to mind as they anticipated a good Cup run was on. It was pretty tentative stuff throughout with neither side wanting to commit. And it was left until the last 5 minutes as City earned a contraversial penalty for a handball by Michalik. Elano cooly slotted home the spot kick and City were through to a Quarter Final meeting with Spurs.
