Kaziu Deyna, Poland’s former World Cup captain, continued his remarkable end of season scoring blast for Manchester City against Bristol City at Maine Road today.
Deyna’s 41st minute goal is his fourth in the last three home games.
And it brought a touch of life to a lifeless affair between two teams who have little left to fight for.
Deyna, however, provided another return on City’s £100,000 investment, and it showed that the Pole could have a new future in English soccer, as a striker.
A further boost for City came after 83 minutes, when Asa Hartford, recalled to the side after being listed last week, made it 2-0.

I went to that game as a 14 year old. Bristol City went down as a result of this and have never come back up
Incorrect. We went down in 79/80. But the other bit’s true.
