I saw this game when I was an evacuee placed in Halifax. Halifax were losing 3-2 with a short while to go when they were awarded a penalty.
Frank Swift managed to save this and it seemed that Halifax were doomed to lose. But somehow they scored two goals in the last ten minutes of the game and emerged with what seemed a miracle win at the time. I cannot recall who was playing for Halifax on that day but I recall that Tommy Barkas was a
regular member of the squad at that time and probably appeared.
