ALAN OAKES, NEILYOUNG AND MIKE DOYLE ARE AMONGST THE GOALSCORERS
From the 6th miniute when Alan Oakes scored with a fantastic half-volley, Leicester must have realised they were in for a torrid time.
City ran The Foxes ragged in the first half with Neil Young grabbing a brace and Mike Doyle scoring a fourth from a tight angle before the break.
After the break City’s recent signing Francis Lee grabbed two more goals for the Blues. The first was a mistake by the Leicester defence as ‘Franny’ pounced onto a weak back pass from Roberts and smashed the ball past the Leicester custodian, Peter Shilton.
With just two minutes to go Lee beat Shilton in a ‘one on one’ and made it six!
