Asa Hartford’s late equaliser saved the day for Manchester City against title-chasing Ipswich in a 1-1 draw at Maine Road.
Ipswich got the better of City with a 35th minute goal from Scotland striker Alan Brazil.
And Brazil could have made it two for the East Anglians but for a splendid save from Joe Corrigan as the Blues failed to find any attacking cohesion after the break, and in the 70th minute Ray Ranson was pulled off to make way for teenager Andy May.
Ten minutes later City got the breakthrough with Hartford snatching the equaliser.
Ipswich had the chance to sew it up minutes later when Eric Gates was pulled down by Corrigan for a penalty. But Wark shot over the top from the spot kick…
