… In a build-up programme that ended with last night’s 1-0 defeat by AC Milan here in the San Siro Stadium, there has been little to suggest that City can recapture the swashbuckling style that took them to League safety and a place in the most memorable FA Cup Final in recent times.
And it has to be said that Milan were themselves pale shadows of a once great team as they struggled for their narrow victory in a colourless work-out in front of 23,000 fans.
… Last night neither Kevin Reeves nor Phil Boyer looked like getting City back into the game after Jordan provided the foundations for Antonelli to score the only goal with just over half an hour gone.
