THANKS TO BRADFORD CITY FAN PHILIP FOR HIS COMMENTS ON THIS MATCH (also see comments at the foot of the page)
This game cost Bradford City promotion to the first division. Two nil up, John Hendrie harshly sent off and we let the Manchester City team back in.
Who knows with the quality of players we had like Stuart McCall, John Hendrie, who would have stayed at Bradford, had we got promoted, maybe Bradford City could be where the sky blues are now
My other memory is buying my inflatable banana, what crazy days they were, I must thank the Manchester City fan who started it all off, was it something to do with Imre Varadi? A bad result for us but a memorable day I remember my mates mum chastising us”when I was your age I was married and expecting you, and you two are going to football matches with inflatable bananas”. Great times.
