Manchester City had winger Peter Bodak sent off as they fell 3-2 at Sunderland.
Bodak got his marching orders in the second half after aiming a wild kick at Iain Munro in a bad tempered game.
All the goals came in the second half, with Gary Rowell on the mark for the Roker side, before Tommy Caton pulled a goal back.
Sunderland went further ahead with a Rowell penalty, Bobby McDonald brought him down in the box, before City replied with a goal from Reeves.
