A HAT-TRICK FOR GORDON DAVIES
Manchester City watched by only 4,029 people, their lowest ever gate for a competitive match, cruised to a 6-1 victory over Leeds United in the Full Members Cup at Maine Road last night.
City’s previous lowest crowd was 8,015 for a 2nd Division match against Swindon Town in 1965.
Gordon Davies, in his second game for City was the star of the show, he scored a first half hat-trick then limped off early in the 2nd half.
